What to Expect at Church
The word “worship” means to give worth to or value. In our worship we give worth to God, and we value each other.
We would love to have you join our worshiping family.
We worship together Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. Our services are live streamed on our Facebook page.
150-175 people attend in person services. People dress casually and some formally.
You will see people in blue jeans and casual shirts, and suits and dresses.
Our sanctuary entrance is off Madison Street or Fourth Street, or through our fellowship hall located off the parking lot. You may sit anywhere in the sanctuary, though you may find people like to sit in the same place most Sundays!
Our services are a mixture of traditional (hymns, prayers, Scripture) and contemporary (modern praise songs).
We celebrate communion the first Sunday of every month and anyone can take communion with us.
We do not “collect” an offering in the service, but offering plates are available in the lobby area.
You may also give online. There is no “pressure” to give financially on Sundays.
The sermon is the central focus of worship. Sermons are biblically based and also directed at modern life.
The typical sermon is 20 minutes.
Kids and babies are welcome in the service. We offer Kingdom Kids, a ministry for little ones during the worship service. Kingdom Kids is located just down the steps as you come into the church. A nursery space is also available. Our staff and volunteers are background checked and trained. Kids also come into worship for a children’s lesson.
We have an adult and bell choir, and a praise band. If you are a singer or musician,
we would love to have you join this ministry.
